“Check Your Oil, Ma’am?” There was a time when a service station attendant, while filling the gasoline tank, would ask just that question. That, and an offer of a clean windshield and air in the tires completed a full-service visit. This year’s retreat will bring us to a new kind of filling station – one where we soak up the oils of the Old and New Testament, drop by drop. We will re-fill our empty vessels as we learn about God’s preparation, provision, and power in our lives. We’ll meet Olive, our station attendant and see what she has on the shelves.
